The Uttar Pradesh Pariksha Niyamak Adhikari (PNP), Prayagraj has officially launched the UP DELED Admission 2026 online registration process from June 15, 2026 at updeled.gov.in for the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course for the training session 2026-28. Formerly known as BTC (Basic Training Certificate), the D.El.Ed programme is a mandatory qualification for anyone aspiring to become a primary or upper-primary school teacher in Uttar Pradesh under NCTE Regulations 2014. This year, over 2.39 lakh seats are available across District Education & Training Institutes (DIET), Government Training Institutes, and NCTE-recognised private DElEd colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

Admission is entirely merit-based – no entrance exam – calculated from marks obtained in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation. Candidates must be graduates with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). Age Limit

Age is calculated as on the date specified in the official notification. Reserved category candidates get upper age relaxation as per the existing UP Government mandates.

Domicile / Nationality

• Must be an Indian citizen.

UP DELED Choice Filling 2026 – Allotment Fee ₹5,000 + Phase 1 & Phase 2

After they announce the merit list, the people who qualify will take part in two phases of counselling. This is where they fill in their choices for the institute and get a seat.

Allotment Fee is something that everyone must pay before they start filling in their choices.

Before people start filling in the names of the institutes they like they have to pay the Allotment Fee of ₹5,000 at updeled.gov.in. This fee is not for the training it is like a deposit that they pay first for the institute.

Phase 1:

• This is open for people who’re high up on the merit list. These are the people who have a chance of getting a seat.
• They log in to updeled.gov.in using their Registration Number.
• Then they pick the training institutes they like in the order they like them from the list of institutes.
• The people who get a seat are decided based on their merit rank and the institute they like.
• The people who get selected have to go to the institute they were given on the given date so they can show their documents. Confirm that they are taking the seat.

Phase 2:

• This is for the seats that are left after Phase 1.
• It is open for people who did not get a seat in Phase 1 and also for people who are now, on the merit list.

• Step 2: Enter your Registration Number, One-Time PIN and captcha code.

• Report to the institute you have been allotted to: Make sure you visit the training institute within the dates specified or you might lose your seat.
• Get your documents verified: Take all the required documents and attested copies to the institute and submit them.
