June 24, 2026: State Bank of India has officially released the SBI Bank Medical Officer Vacancy 2026 notification (Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/03) for Bank Medical Officer (BMO-II) posts under the Specialist Cadre Officer category. Online registration starts today, June 24, 2026 and closes on July 14, 2026. MBBS doctors with relevant practicing experience can apply at sbi.bank.in.

State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the Specialist Cadre Officer post of Bank Medical Officer (BMO-II), on a regular basis, through Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/03. This SBI BMO Recruitment 2026 offers a total of 35 vacancies spread across 15 Circles/Offices of SBI – including Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Maharashtra, Mumbai Metro, Patna, and Thiruvananthapuram. MBBS doctors registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council, with relevant practicing experience as a General Practitioner, are eligible to apply.

SBI BMO 2026 Vacancy Details – Circle Wise

There are 35 job openings for Bank Medical Officer. These jobs are spread across 14 SBI Circles and Offices.

It is very important to remember that you can only apply for a job in one circle or office. If you apply for a job in one circle you cannot apply for a job, in any circle.

English is applicable only for candidates who studied and passed English as a subject in a school in Nagaland and/or Arunachal Pradesh.

• Step 4 – Register Online

Online Written Test Structure

Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language tests are just to qualify. The marks from these tests do not count towards the merit list. Only the Professional Knowledge marks matter for the merit list. There will be negative marking for answers in the online exam. SBI BMO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process & Weightage

• The online written test is likely to happen in August 2026 at centres across India.

The written test has sections. Candidates need to score in Professional Knowledge and also get minimum qualifying marks in other sections to move to the next round.

• Candidates who do well in the written test are invited for an interview.

The interview carries 100 marks. A good number of candidates from each category are called for the interview based on how they performed in the written test.

• The final selection is based on the written test and interview scores. The written test score counts for 70%. The interview score counts for 30%. The scores are adjusted to ensure fairness.
• Before joining, candidates who are selected go through a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). If they fail this test they are not appointed, no matter how well they did in the written test or interview.
• If two or more candidates have the score the older candidate is ranked higher.
• A waitlist is kept for each circle and category. It is valid for 1 year, from the date of the result or until a new advertisement is released, whichever comes first.
