Calicut University Result 2026 – Scheme-wise Guide (CBCSS vs CUCBCSS vs SDE)

This is the most critical and most confusing aspect of Calicut University results — no competitor explains this clearly:

SchemeFull NameApplicable ToAdmission Batch
CBCSSChoice Based Credit and Semester SystemRegular UG students at affiliated colleges (new scheme)2013 onwards
CUCBCSSCalicut University Choice Based Credit and Semester SystemRegular UG students (older scheme)Pre-2013 / specific courses
PG CBCSSChoice Based Credit and Semester System for PGRegular PG (MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA) students2013 onwards
SDE CBCSSSchool of Distance Education CBCSSDistance Education (SDE) / CDOE studentsVarious
CDOECentre for Distance and Online EducationSame as SDE — updated nameRecent batches
AnnualAnnual exam patternSpecific professional courses (MBBS, BDS, etc.)As applicable

How to identify your scheme: You need to look at your Hall Ticket or Admit Card because the scheme name is written on it. For students who are doing undergraduate courses regularly most of them are under the CBCSS system if they started in 2013 or after that. Students who are studying from a distance are usually under the SDE CBCSS system or the CDOE system.

You must be very careful when you are selecting the scheme on the result portal. If you select the scheme you will not be able to see your result, on the portal. Always make sure to select the scheme, which is the CBCSS system or the one that is written on your Hall Ticket or Admit Card.

Calicut University Result 2026 – Admission Batch System Explained

Calicut University publishes results separately for each admission batch year — this confuses many students:

Admission BatchCurrent Year (2025-26)Typical Semester Stage
2024 Admission1st Year students1st & 2nd Semester
2023 Admission2nd Year students3rd & 4th Semester
2022 Admission3rd Year students5th & 6th Semester
2021 AdmissionCompleted (some supplementary/improvement)6th Sem supplementary
2020, 2019 AdmissionOlder batches (distance/supplementary only)One-time regular/supplementary

So you want to know what “2022 Admission” means in your result notification. It is talking about the students who got admission to their course in the year 2022. These students are now in their year, which is also known as the fifth and sixth semester. To find out which admission year you belong to you should look at your Hall Ticket before you try to find your result. You have to make sure you are looking at the admission year, which is the year you got admission, to your undergraduate course. For example if your Hall Ticket says 2022 then you should look for the result of students who got admission in 2022.

Calicut University Result 2026 – Grading System

Calicut University follows the CBCSS grading system for UG and PG courses:

Marks RangeGradeGrade PointsPerformance
90–100O10Outstanding
80–89A+9Excellent
70–79A8Very Good
60–69B+7Good
50–59B6Above Average
40–49C5Average
35–39D4Pass (in some courses)
Below 35/40F / RA0Fail / Re-Appear

To pass a course you need to get least 40 percent in each paper. This is for the exams in most of the CBCSS courses. The internal marks are counted separately from the exam marks.

If you get an RA status that means you have to take the examination for that particular paper. The RA status is like a signal that you need to retake the exam, for that paper.

Revaluation, Scrutiny & Photocopy – Calicut University 2026

Calicut University offers three separate post-result options — most competitors explain only one:

OptionWhat it MeansFee (Approx.)Result Timeline
RevaluationAnswer script re-evaluated by a different examiner₹750–₹1,500 per paper30–60 days
ScrutinyOnly totalling and marking errors are verified — no re-evaluation₹200–₹500 per paper15–30 days
Photocopy of Answer ScriptStudent receives a photocopy of their evaluated answer paper₹200–₹400 per paper15–30 days

To Apply For Revaluation Or Scrutiny You Should Do The Following Steps:

  • Check the website notifications.uoc.ac.in for the notification, about revaluation or scrutiny after you get your result.

Apply for it online through the Calicut University examination portal. You have to do this within the given time limit. This time limit is usually fifteen to thirty days after your result is declared.

You have to pay the required fee online.

The results of revaluation are published on the website results.uoc.ac.in as notifications.

It Is Very Important To Know That Scrutiny Checks If The Marks Are Added Correctly. It Does Not Check Your Answers Again. If You Want Your Marks To Be Changed You Should Apply For Revaluation.

Students can first apply for a photocopy of their answer sheet then they can check their answers. Decide if they want to apply for revaluation or not. Revaluation is the process that can actually change your marks.
