Breaking Update: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released the RRB NTPC 2026 CBT 1 Exam Schedule for Undergraduate (UG) level posts under CEN 07/2025. The schedule was announced on 13 April 2026, and the exam is set to begin from 7 May 2026. Along with this, the RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026 for UG level has been released from 3 May 2026 onwards at the official login portal rrb.digialm.com.

A total of 63,27,474 candidates have applied for 3,058 vacancies under the NTPC Undergraduate posts. The CBT 1 exam will be conducted across 200 exam centres in three shifts daily. This is one of the most awaited railway exams of 2026 — if you are scheduled for 7 May or 8 May, your admit card is already available for download right now.

RRB NTPC 2026 CBT 1 Exam Schedule – Full Date List (UG Level)

The official exam schedule under CEN 07/2025 has been released. The CBT 1 exam for Undergraduate posts will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1 – May 2026

Phase 2 – June 2026

Rule: Railway Recruitment Board releases the admit card a days before your exam date.

For example if your exam is on 7 May you can download your admit card on 3 May.

If your exam is on 8 May your admit card will be available, on 4 May.

Important:

• The admit card is released in phases.
• You can download it only if your exam date falls in the window.

How to Get Your RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026

To download your RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026 just follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the official RRB admit card website. Rrb.digialm.com. Or visit your local RRB website, like rrbcdg.gov.in.

Step 2: Look for the “RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026” link. Click on it.

Step 3: A login page will open. Enter these details:

• – Your Registration Number
• – Your Date of Birth in DD-MM-YYYY format
• – The Captcha Code, on the screen

Step 4: Click the Login button.

Step 5: Your RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026 will show up on the screen.

Step 6: Check everything carefully. Your name, photo, roll number, exam date, shift and exam centre.

Step 7: Save the admit card as a PDF. Print it out several times. The RRB says to keep copies safe.

RRB NTPC City Intimation Slip 2026 – Already Released

The RRB NTPC City Intimation Slip 2026 was released on 27 April 2026 on all regional RRB websites. This slip informs candidates about:

• Their allotted exam city and state
• Tentative shift timing
• Exam centre district

How to check City Slip: Go to your regional RRB website → Login with Registration Number and Date of Birth → Download City Intimation Slip.

The city slip was released 10 days before the exam (i.e., 27 April for 7 May exam candidates). Use the city information to arrange your travel and accommodation in advance.

RRB NTPC 2026 CBT 1 Exam Pattern – Exact Details

The CBT 1 exam for NTPC Undergraduate posts follows this pattern:

Key rules are as follows:

Negative marking is something we should be careful about. For each answer we will lose one third of a mark.

PwBD Candidates get some time. They have one hundred and twenty minutes to complete the test. This is thirty minutes more than the rest of the candidates.

The test is on the computer. We will take the test online.

We can take the test in two languages. The test is available in Hindi and English.

They also have a rule for normalization. This is because the test is held at times.

The first CBT is a test to see who can move on. The final merit list, for CBT 2 is based on the normalized scores. The marks we get in CBT 1 do not directly affect our chances of being selected. CBT 1 is a screening test. The final selection is based on CBT 2.

Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places, General Science and Life Science, History of India, Indian Polity and Governance, Indian Economy, Geography of India and World, Scientific Research, Major Events of the World, Awards and Honours, Environmental Issues, Committees and Recommendations.

Mathematics (30 Marks)

Aadhaar Biometric Verification – Mandatory at Exam Centre

RRB has made Aadhaar-based biometric verification mandatory at all exam centres for RRB NTPC 2026. Before you enter the exam hall, biometric verification will be conducted. To ensure smooth entry:

• Carry your original Aadhaar card or a printed e-Verified Aadhaar
• Ensure your Aadhaar is unlocked in the UIDAI system before exam day
• Candidates with locked biometrics on Aadhaar will face difficulty at entry — unlock it immediately through the UIDAI app or website

Do not wait until the day before the exam to check your Aadhaar biometric status. Do it now at uidai.gov.in.

What Happens After CBT 1 – Complete Selection Process

Here is the full selection process for RRB NTPC Undergraduate posts 2026:

• Stage 1: CBT 1

Screening exam with 100 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. You just need to qualify.

• Stage 2: CBT 2

This is the exam for candidates who get shortlisted. It is more difficult. Focused on specific subjects.

• Stage 3: CBAT / TST

You will take a Computer-Based Aptitude Test for some posts like Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.. You will take a Typing Skill Test for posts that require typing.

• Stage 4: Document Verification

Your original documents will be checked against the information you provided in your application.

• Stage 5: Medical Examination

You will need to meet the Railways standards.

Important: CBT 1 is for screening. Only candidates who score above the cutoff, in CBT 1 and have good normalized scores move to CBT 2. Your final ranking is based on how you perform in CBT 2.
