NEET 2026 Re-Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA), with the approval of the Government of India, has officially announced the Re-NEET 2026 date as June 21, 2026 (Sunday). This comes after the original NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026 was cancelled by NTA following confirmed paper leak allegations from multiple exam centres. The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) has been handed over the investigation into the leak. All registered candidates will automatically appear for the re-exam — no fresh registration or fee payment is required. NTA has also confirmed that the application fee will be refunded to all candidates.

Why was NEET 2026 cancelled? The NEET UG 2026 exam held on May 3, 2026 was cancelled after paper leak cases were confirmed from more than one exam centre across India. The Central Government handed over the investigation to the CBI and ordered NTA to conduct a fresh examination for all candidates.

NEET 2027 — Historic Announcement

In a major policy shift announced alongside the Re-NEET 2026 date, NEET UG 2027 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for the very first time in NEET’s history.
