  5. Upload required documents and submit application fee online.
  6. Only online applications accepted — no postal or other mode.
  7. Save the confirmation and fee receipt for future reference.

OMR Sheet — Key Rules

  • Fill circles completely with black or blue ink only — partially filled answers will not be evaluated.
  • Any tampering, wrong information, or use of incorrect OMR leads to immediate cancellation of candidature.
  • No re-evaluation or re-checking of OMR will be done after result publication.

JHTET 2026 — Preparation Tips

For candidates taking Paper I, Child Development & Pedagogy is the highest-scoring subject – it carries 30 marks and is mostly theory-based. For those opting for the Maths/Science stream in Paper II, the syllabus is somewhat more challenging, so start reading the NCERT books for Classes 6 to 8 now. Since there is no negative marking, do not leave any question blank in the exam.

Important Conditions

  • Candidates can appear in JHTET more than once to improve their score.
  • Passing JHTET does not give the right to claim appointment as teacher — it is a qualifying test only.
  • Final verification of academic/training qualifications happens at the time of actual appointment.
  • Candidates found guilty of malpractice or using unfair means will be debarred from appearing in the next two JHTET examinations.

An important point — many candidates mistakenly enter the wrong marks for their training qualifications. Remember, the original documents are verified at the time of final appointment. If anything is found to be incorrect on the form — even if you have passed the exam — your candidature may be cancelled.
