Rajasthan BSTC Result 2026, officially known as Pre D.El.Ed 2026, is the Rajasthan state-level entrance examination for admission into the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme. The exam is conducted by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota for candidates aspiring to become primary school teachers in Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan Pre D.El.Ed Examination is a state-level education entrance exam for admission to the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) – General and Sanskrit course at Teacher Training Institutes (DIETs) across Rajasthan for the 2026–28 academic session, with approximately 26,000 seats on offer.

In the year 2025 VMOU held the BSTC exam on June 1 2025. The BSTC exam took place in two shifts. The morning shift was from 9 AM to 12 PM. Then the afternoon shift was from 2:30 PM, to 5:30 PM. VMOU declared the result of the BSTC exam on June 14 2025.

Students who took the Sanskrit language paper will be ranked in the Sanskrit merit list, not the General merit list. You should check your stream on your Admit Card before you apply for counselling. Make sure to check the Sanskrit merit list for your ranking because the Sanskrit language paper results will only be, in the Sanskrit merit list.

Rajasthan BSTC Result 2026 Exam Pattern & Section-wise Marks

The BSTC exam has four sections – Mental Ability (50 questions, 150 marks), General Awareness of Rajasthan (50 questions, 150 marks), Teaching Aptitude (50 questions, 150 marks), and Language Ability (50 questions, 150 marks) – with Language being English (20 questions) and Sanskrit or Hindi (30 questions). Total marks are 600.

There is no marking, for this test. So if you get something it will not reduce your score. If you do not answer a question you will get zero marks for that question.

Here is a thing to know: when you finish the test you can take the question paper and the copy of the OMR booklet that you used. This is really helpful because you can compare your answers to the answers and figure out how you did on the test before the official results are even announced.

After the BSTC result VMOU Kota shares the merit list. Then they start counselling for D.El.Ed seats in Rajasthan.

There are two types of merit lists.

What is the difference between BSTC General and BSTC Sanskrit stream?

The main difference between the two streams is that D.El.Ed General is for teaching in Hindi-medium government schools.
The D.El.Ed Sanskrit is for teaching in Sanskrit schools and Vidyalayas.
In the General stream the language paper is Hindi.
In the Sanskrit stream it is Sanskrit.
There are merit lists and seat allotment for both streams.
You can check your Admit Card to confirm which stream you are in BSTC General or BSTC Sanskrit.

What are the qualifying marks for BSTC 2026?

The qualifying marks are different for categories.
General / EWS candidates need least 50% marks, that is 300 out of 600 marks.
SC, ST, OBC, MBC, PwD and widow/divorced (General) candidates need least 45% marks, that is 270 out of 600 marks.
Only those candidates who score above the qualifying marks are eligible for the D.El.Ed counselling, which is for BSTC.
