As per Rule 8.1(2) of the official notification, every selected candidate must execute a bond of ₹5,00,000/- before joining, committing to serve under the Public Health & Medical Education Department for a minimum of 5 years. Sister Tutor Recruitment MP – Educational Qualification

For Nursing Officer (Post Codes 01 to 11):

Condition 1 — 12th Standard: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects from a recognised board.

Condition 2 — Nursing Degree:

• Option A: 4-Year B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognised by MP Nurses Registration Council / Indian Nursing Council — minimum 45% marks required.
• Option B: After completing GNM, a 2-Year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing — minimum 45% marks required.

Result Method — How Your Score Is Normalised

Since the exam is held in multiple shifts on different days, and the difficulty level can vary between shifts, MPESB uses the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling technique for all online multi-shift exams.

In simple words: If the paper in your shift was harder than another shift, your raw score is adjusted upward before the final merit list is made. Your merit position is based on the percentile score, not raw marks.

Tie-breaking rule (when two candidates have the same percentile):

1. First tie-break: higher raw / proportionate marks in the exam
2. Second tie-break: older candidate (higher date of birth) gets preference

What Competitors Have Not Covered — Unique Information from the PDF

1. Baiga, Sahariya & Bhariya Tribal Candidates — No Exam Required

This applies to specific primitive tribal community members only:

• Baiga — districts: Mandla, Dindori, Shahdol, Umaria, Balaghat, Anuppur
• Sahariya / Sahriya — districts: Sheopur, Morena, Datia, Gwalior, Bhind, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar
• Bhariya — districts: Chhindwara, Seoni

These candidates do not need to appear for the MPESB written exam. They must apply offline in a hardcopy format (as per Proforma-2 in the notification), attach all required certificates, and send the application directly to the Directorate of Public Health & Medical Education, JP Hospital Campus, Bhopal — before 20 April 2026.

Important: Any application from these tribal candidates sent to MPESB will be treated as invalid and rejected. Their selections are adjusted within the ST category quota.

2. Contractual Employees — 50% Posts Specially Reserved

If you are currently working on a contract basis in any MP Government department, state body, or Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and have completed 5 continuous years of contract service in the same or equivalent grade, you are eligible for the 50% reserved posts under the contractual employee category.

What you need:

• Certificate from district-level or state-level competent authority confirming 5-year service
• The 5-year period must be completed on or before the date of applying

Age relaxation: Contractual employees get age relaxation equal to the number of years served in the matching or higher grade on contract — but maximum age must not exceed 55 years.

This benefit can be availed only once. After being appointed on a regular post through this provision, you cannot claim contractual reservation again.

3. What Happens If a Question Is Wrong After the Exam

After the exam, MPESB publishes the answer key online. Candidates can submit objections within 3 days of the answer key being uploaded. Each objection costs ₹150/- per question (+ applicable charges) — only online submissions are accepted; physical/postal objections are rejected.

The expert committee reviews all objections. If a question is confirmed as flawed, it is cancelled, and marks are redistributed proportionately:

Example: Exam has 100 marks. 2 questions are cancelled. A candidate scored 90 marks out of the remaining 98 valid questions. Their adjusted score = (90 × 100) ÷ 98 = 91.83 marks.

This recalculation applies regardless of whether the candidate attempted the cancelled questions or not.

4. Post Code Preference — One Mistake Can Cost You a Post

When filling the application, you can choose preferences for multiple post codes. You must add every post code you are eligible for. If you skip a post code in your preference list, the system will not consider you for that post — even if your percentile is high enough.

Additionally, the system works on priority order. Once you are placed on the merit list of one of your preferred posts, you will not appear on the list for lower-priority posts. You will appear on the waiting list for all higher-priority posts than the one you are placed on.

5. Disqualification Conditions (Grounds for Rejection)

The notification specifies certain conditions under which a candidate’s application can be rejected at any stage — including after selection:

Rule 16 — These candidates are ineligible:

• Any male candidate who already has a living wife and wishes to marry again — not eligible unless government grants special exemption.
• Any female candidate who marries a man with a living wife — not eligible unless government grants special exemption.
• Candidates with more than 2 living children, where at least one child was born on or after 26 January 2001 — ineligible. (Exception: If a single child is living and a subsequent delivery results in 2 or more children, disqualification does not apply.)

6. Waiting List and Merit List Validity

As per MP Government orders, MPESB will prepare a waiting list of 15% of the total vacancies along with the main merit list. This waiting list remains valid for 1 year from the date of result declaration or until a new exam result is declared — whichever comes first.
