Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (SSSC) has released Employment Notice No. 36C/SSSC/HR/2026 for 1265 Clerk posts in Subordinate Courts of Haryana. Punjab and Haryana High Court Clerk Recruitment 2026 — one of the biggest judicial-cadre clerical recruitments of 2026 — is now open. The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (SSSC) under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana has announced 1265 Clerk vacancies (1015 existing + 250 anticipated) in Haryana’s Subordinate Courts under Advertisement No. 36C/SSSC/HR/2026 dated 22.05.2026. Eligibility and Qualification – SSSC Haryana Clerk Recruitment 2026 sssc.gov.in

You need to have a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree or something similar from a university that is recognized.

You should be good at using computers, Word Processing and Spreadsheets.

You must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit in school. You must have studied Hindi at a higher level like when you were doing your +2 or your Bachelor of Arts or your Master of Arts.

You have to complete all of these qualifications by June 23 2026.

Domicile:

If you live in Haryana you can get some benefits like age relaxation and fee relaxation and reservation. Only if you have a certificate from the Haryana Government.

If you are from another state you have to apply as a General category candidate.

Disqualification:

If you are married to someone who’s already married you cannot apply.

But there is an exception if your marriage is allowed by the law that applies to you and a High Court says it is okay.

Stage 1 — Computer Based Test (CBT) — 2 Hours

Key CBT Rules:

  • Marking: For every wrong answer you lose a quarter of a mark.
  • Unattempted questions: You don’t get any credit or deduction for questions you don’t answer.
  • Subjective English: Your English answers are only checked if you score 33% or more in General Knowledge.
  • Normalization: If the exam is held in shifts your scores are adjusted using the Standard Deviation Method.
  • Answer objection: You have to pay ₹25 for each objection you make and its not refundable.

Stage 2 — Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) — Qualifying Only

Part II is the typing test. This is only checked if you get 4 or more marks in Part I, which’s the spreadsheet test. The marks you get in the CPT do not count towards your merit. The CPT is something you need to pass.

If you are a candidate and you have a problem, with both of your arms or you have a physical problem that makes it hard for you to type then you can ask to be excused from the CPT. To do this you need to give them a disability certificate and a medical certificate. You have to do this within 15 days of getting your CBT results.

Final Merit List

  • Prepared strictly on CBT marks (normalized marks for objective + actual marks for subjective)
  • Tie-breaker: older candidate placed higher
  • Further tie: alphabetical order (A-Z)

Documents Required – SSSC Clerk 2026

You need a BA or BSc degree certificate and the marksheets that go with it.

You also need a matriculation certificate that shows you studied Hindi or Sanskrit or some other proof that you have a qualification.

Here are some more things you need:

  • A category certificate that is valid this can be for SC or BC or EWS or ESM or ESP it has to be issued by the Haryana Competent Authority.
  • An EWS certificate that is valid for the year 2026-27 this is based on the income from the year 2025-26.
  • If you are a PwBD then you need a disability certificate.
  • If you are an ESM you need an identity card from the Zila Sainik Board or your discharge certificate or book.

You also need a few things these are:

  • A no objection certificate from the head of your office. Only if you are already working for the government.
  • A passport size photo this should not be more than one month old and it should have a white background.
  • A scanned copy of your signature.
  • A email id and a mobile number these are necessary, for the SSSC Clerk 2026 application.

  • Next you need to log in and fill out the Online Application Form with your details, educational qualification and category details.

Rules. You Have To Read These Before You Apply

  • You can only apply on the website sssc.gov.in. They will not accept applications in any way.
  • You can only submit one application for each category. If you submit applications they will only consider the last one you submitted.
  • Once you have chosen a category or sub-category you cannot change it at any stage of the process.
  • If you are from a category you can only get the benefits if you are from Haryana. If you are from another state you have to apply as a candidate.
  • For the OBC Creamy Layer the rules are as per the Haryana Government Notification number 40/13/2024-1SW that was issued on 16.07.2024.
  • Your EWS certificate has to be valid for the year 2026-27 and it has to be based on your income from the year 2025-26. They will not accept an EWS certificate from the Central Government.
  • If you are married to someone who already has a living spouse you are not eligible to apply.
  • You can take the exam at any centre in Northern India. Once they allot you a centre it is final and they will not consider any requests to change it.
  • You can only get your -Admit Card from the website sssc.gov.in. They will not send it to you by post.
  • A Demo or Mock Test will be available on the website sssc.gov.in fifteen days before the exam.
  • They will not allow you to re-evaluate your answers. You can get your answer sheet re-checked for any totalling errors. This will cost you ₹500 per answer sheet. You have to pay by IPO within thirty days of the final result.
  • You will not get any travel allowance or daily allowance for appearing in the exam or for document verification.
  • You are not allowed to take phones, smartwatches, jewellery or any other electronic devices into the exam hall. The sssc.gov.in rules are very clear, about this.
