For EWS candidates: The EWS certificate must be issued between 1 April 2026 and 27 April 2026 (application period), based on income for FY 2025-26 and valid for FY 2026-27. It must be in the format prescribed by UP Govt. GO No. 0-3/2019/4/1/2002/Ka-2/19TCI-II dated 14-03-2019.

For PwD candidates: Disability certificate must be in the current updated format prescribed by UP Govt. vide GO No. 5/2022/18/1/2008/47/Ka-2/2022, dated 18-04-2022. 6 Points That Most Portals Have Not Covered

1. Post 07 is a “Special Selection” post — separate from Post 03. Both Post 03 and Post 07 relate to Sparsho-Drishtibadhit (Deafblind) schools with similar qualifications, but Post 07 is specifically for Special Selection. Candidates must select the correct post number in their application.

2. The Sign Language / Braille test is qualifying — not merit-based. Failing this test means no appointment, even if you scored highly in the written exam. Most portals list it as a “stage” without clarifying that it eliminates candidates outright. Practice is critical.

3. Negative marking is 25% per wrong answer. In a 100-mark paper with 65 questions in Part 1 alone (disability-related), a wrong answer costs 0.25 marks. Strategic guessing matters — do not attempt questions you are unsure of.

4. The EWS certificate validity window is narrow. It must be issued between 1 April and 27 April 2026, based on FY 2025-26 income. A certificate issued before April 1 (even from March 2026) will not be accepted. Many EWS candidates miss this and get disqualified at document verification.

5. Part 3 of the syllabus is UP-specific GK, not general India GK. The notification explicitly states that questions will cover UP’s history, culture, economy, administration, agriculture, current events, and state-specific achievements. Candidates who prepare standard “general GK” for this section will be at a disadvantage compared to those who study UP-specific material.

6. Shortlisting is 15 times the vacancies per category. With 58 total posts, approximately 870 candidates will be called for the Main Exam (15 × 58). Competition is real but manageable.
